3/30/09 - The Things We Carry
Our latest short film, The Things We Carry, is officially completed. It was featured in the latest DVXuser.com Online Short Film Festival, Loss Fest. It was a non-competing entry due to our extended running time, but thankfully we received a strong number of views and positive feedback on the project. We'll be entering the film in a few film festivals prior to making it available on our site.
3/29/09 - Site back up!
Our site has been down for a few days...We've had another issue with Trance De Muerte overloading servers. It's a big movie and it's been causing a strain on our hosting company. For the time being I've had to remove the Quicktime files. The Youtube versions are still live, check it out here. I'm going to work on making a non-stream, download only quicktime version of the film soon. 2/13/09 - Site overload / Trance De Muerte
Our site was down for a while today...apparently too many people were downloading Trance De Muerte and our hosting company it down. I had to pull the files for a short time but I'll upload them again as soon as possible. For the time being, check it out here on youtube. I will not be uploading the 720p version again, apparently that was the worst file since it's nearly half a gig. I'll post it privately somewhere and if you'd like to download that version, email me directly.
2/12/09 - Ghosts for Heroes - Post Wrap!
Post-Production has wrapped on Ghosts for Heroes. Unfortunately, I won't be releasing it on the site yet. We're planning to submit this one to a few festivals but it will eventually make its way online. Matt Parra did a killer job on the music and sound design. We'll keep you informed where the film is sent off.
2/7/09 -TTWC Production Wrap...
On Thursday, February 5th, we trekked up into the mountains North of Los Angeles and spent the day shooting The Things We Carry. The environment was perfect, snow and rain continually came down lending an atmosphere which was well suited for the story. We shot with our HVX/SGpro HD setup rather than the RED due to weather conditions. Either we'd postpone and wait for clearer skies or shoot with a less expensive camera in bad weather. We took the bad weather gladly. We've got a lot of post-production work to complete with TTWC and the deadline for Loss Fest is approaching in early March. For more information, check out our film thread over at DVXuser.com. TTWC - LOSS FEST THREAD.
2/3/09 -World War 2 Short...
We just finished our prop and wardrobe run with Christian Ramirez. He showed us through his shop where they are busy working on a new show called Deadliest Warrior for Spike TV. The dress rehearsal with Shon and Brenden went smoothly and they look great with all the gear on. We're all excited to shoot this thing! One more day...
1/30/09 - Loss Fest...
Our WW2 action/drama short will most likely be a contender in the next DVXuser.com Short Film Festival, Loss Fest. Festival requirements need the film to fit in under six minutes. If the project fits within the constraints and is completed on time, we'll definitely submit it for competition. You can find out more about Loss Fest at DVXuser.com or Loss Fest Main Thread
1/27/09 - NEW Short Film Production
We're shooting a new short film production in less than a week! Tentatively titled, The Things We Carry... It's a WW2 action/drama piece which we'll be shooting up near Gorman, CA. It's a small budget/crew and we've only got one day to get everything but the script is short. Geoff Reisner will be directing the project. It's being produced by Geoff Reisner, Shon Lange and Bobby Hill.
1/20/09 - Ghosts for Heroes...
We've been hard at work on our next upcoming Short Film release, Ghosts for Heroes. Matt Parra has been working on the sound design, original music and mix for the past few weeks. It's coming out very well and we're excited to share the final release of the film soon.
12/1/08 - Trance De Muerte... Thanks for watching!
Trance De Muerte has been viewed over 5,000 times on Youtube alone. And our own personal bandwidth for the month of October was the highest it's ever been in our history due to so many people downloading the film. Thanks to all who checked out the film! We don't do any advertising other than myspace, dvxuser.com and word of mouth so that's a good sign. 9/18/08 - Trance De Muerte - NOW PLAYING
Trance De Muerte is LIVE and ready for viewing. Right now we've got Quicktimes and links to Youtube available!
9/17/08 - VICE Shoot Part 1...
We spent the weekend shooting our sixth short film, Vice. We completed filming the majority of the film and we'll be finishing up production over the next two weeks when time permits. The shoot went incredibly well and we're thrilled with the footage and performances we got from our actors. We're looking forward to post production!
7/19/08 - Upcoming Production...
We are moving into Pre-Production on Damien Jackson's next short film, tentatively titled, Vice. The film is an action/thriller centering around corrupt law enforcement. We will be posting information for casting soon. This will be the first of our personal productions to be shot using the RED Camera.
7/15/08 - Trance De Muerte...
Trance De Muerte is still in the post-production process. Sound designer, Matt Parra, and Damien have been putting in long hours over the past few weeks to get it done. It's nearly finished and we're excited to share it with everyone. No official word on a release date yet. After Matt finishes this project, he'll be taking on Ghosts for Heroes.
5/29/08 - EXTRACTED - NEW SHORT FILM
We are a few days in on our next short film endeavor. It's a Sci-fi/Action film centering around a hot combat zone. It will contain numerous VFX and plenty of action. We are casting and crewing up for this project immediately. A production website will be online very shortly which will contain much more information. This project is growing bigger each and every day; it's going to be an exciting month!
5/11/08 - Trance De Muerte, delays...
Trance De Muerte will be delayed until May 26th...more time is needed to finish the sound design and score. Unfortunately, Anthony Shamal Perera will be unable to score the film and we are searching for a new composer.
5/10/08 - New short film...
We have decided to enter the latest DVXuser.com festival; it's current theme, TimeFest. We're developing a few small ideas and searching for the right one that we can produce affordably and within the time constraint. We will be needing a creative production designer able to work with a very tight budget!
4/20/08 - Trance De Muerte, post sound...
Post-Production sound is underway on Trance De Muerte. Sound editing, effects will be done by Justin Krause. Sound mixing by Matt Parra, and original music by Anthony Shamal Perera
4/20/08 - Grips and Electricians needed...
We are in need of some G&E resources this upcoming weekend; 4/24 - 4/26.
4/17/08 - Feature Film Slate
Raw Image Films has started developing a feature film slate which will consists of four to five projects with budgets ranging from 500K to 2.5M.
News prior to the above isn't very important :)
